P2P
File sharing is the spreading of information from one person to another. People share files on the internet allowing them to view and download it. P2P file sharing is when you directly connect to another user online to share a digital file with them. Examples of P2P sharing include music, ebooks, movies, and video games, allowing free distribution of media to anyone that can access it. Today P2P sharing is present in torrenting sites that allow users to download books, movies, or shows illegally. These sites threaten the business that they are getting their content from. The music sharing P2P sites decreased the sales of albums in the music industry. The article written by Brian Stelter and Brad Stone shows how torrenting movies is threatening the sales of the film industry. They say the film industry if "struggling against the video version of the digital looting that capsized the music business."
